Because the celebration in Albania is not what it used to be.
1980s: All pupils practiced weeks before the big day for marching and waiving with flags. All grown up had to stay overtime and make practice for the same. The city was covered with flags and picture of the Big Leader Enver on May 1st.
2012:
All restaurants are full. People are having picnic in the park with their family, going to an exhibition showing possibilities for work and study or they are working; among other things by making new asphalt on the road to the park.
That’s why the soles of my shoes now are without pattern.
